Screw conveyors

SolidTec screw conveyors are armored, high-efficiency transport devices designed specifically for seamless integration with our cement silos. The construction has been fully adapted to work in the harshest industrial conditions – handling perfectly the continuous, dynamic transport of high-abrasion and variable-density materials such as cement, fly ash, or dry sand.

Modular Architecture and Configuration Flexibility

The conveyor pipe system relies on an intelligent, modular structure that allows for the ideal matching of the transport length to the concrete batching plant's geometry:

  • Base segments: Every conveyor consists of a standard initial section (inlet) with a length of 3 m and a final section (outlet) with a length of 3 m.
  • Extension system: The working length can be flexibly increased using extension modules with lengths of 1 m, 2 m, or 3 m (and any combinations thereof).
  • Maximum reach: The design allows the conveyor to be safely extended up to a maximum of 14 linear meters while maintaining complete structural rigidity.
  • Stable suspension: Each pipe segment is equipped with dedicated mounting brackets, enabling reliable and secure suspension of the entire conveyor to the silo structure.
  • Perfect integration with the silo: The bottom inlet part of the conveyor is 100% matched to the discharge flange of our silos and equipped with a connection compatible with the universal ball joint. This allows for smooth adjustment and locking of the ideal screw incline angle. The upper discharge section terminates in an ergonomic drop chute directing material straight into the mixer.
  • Shaft protection against deflection: Advanced intermediate bearings with self-lubricating sleeve bushings are used inside the transport pipe. They support the shaft along its entire length, categorically eliminating the risk of it bending or runout under the weight of the dense raw material. Additionally, precise splined shaft couplings ensure safe torque transmission.
  • Industrial flange-mounted drive: A durable motor with a gearbox offering a powerful output from 9.5 kW to 11.5 kW is responsible for smooth and trouble-free starting of the screw (even with a fully loaded pipe). The drive is flange-mounted, which guarantees perfect alignment and reduces vibrations.
  • Helicoid flighting and sealed bearings: Precisely rolled, helicoid screw flights with an optimal pitch operate inside the conveyor, ensuring a stable material stream. The end bearings are equipped with an advanced, self-aligning shaft seal that effectively cuts off the mechanical zone from the destructive action of fine cement dust.
  • Heavy-duty flanges and express servicing: Individual pipe segments are connected via an armored, perimeter-welded flange, which guarantees ideal rigidity and alignment. The conveyor features one inlet and one outlet, and easily accessible inspection ports are distributed between the internal bearings (including an inspection hatch located directly behind the screw), enabling lightning-fast cleaning and technical status checks.
  • Durable powder coating: All steel components of the conveyor are corrosion-protected and powder-coated. As standard, we offer the machine in iconic Caterpillar yellow or vibrant orange RAL 2004. Upon individual order, it is possible to paint the conveyor in any color from the RAL palette to match your plant's visual identity.
