Cement scales

The SolidTec cement scale is an advanced, fully hermetic batching system installed directly above the mixer on an independent supporting structure. The device was designed for uncompromising recipe repeatability and maximum reduction of dust emissions at the batching plant.

  • Three-point load cell measurement (Class C3): The scale structure rests on 3 shear beam load cells with a capacity of 500 kg each. The automation system precisely averages signals from the three support points, enabling binder weighing with excellent accuracy down to 0.5 kg (500 g). Upon special order, we equip the scale with sensors holding an international OIML certificate of conformity.
  • Flexible multi-connection (Up to 3 screws): The scale top plate features ready technological openings enabling simultaneous connection of up to 3 screw conveyors (e.g., for different types of cement or fly ash). Each connection is seated on a dedicated, wear-resistant polyurethane shroud that effectively cuts off vibrations and stresses coming from the operating conveyors.
  • Pneumatic discharge and vibratory assistance: An industrial butterfly valve controlled by a linear pneumatic actuator and a dedicated solenoid valve is responsible for the lightning-fast drop of the measured dose. To completely eliminate the bridging of fine binder on the walls, the scale features a factory-installed electric vibrator assisting the emptying of the vessel.
  • Eco-venting and dust-free operation: An integrated, flexible venting hose routed directly into the interior of the mixer is located in the upper part of the body. This solution compensates for pressure spikes during dynamic charging and retains cement dust inside the system, guaranteeing a clean and safe working environment.
  • Optional polyurethane sleeve: At the investor's request, we deliver a specialized, flexible connecting sleeve made of thick polyurethane with increased wear resistance, which permanently seals the discharge zone between the scale and the mixer.

Fly ash scales

The SolidTec fly ash scale is an independent, optional batching system mounted directly above the mixer (next to the cement scale) on a shared supporting structure. Isolating a separate weighing line for fly ash is a proven standard in modern concrete plants – it allows for precise measurement of this valuable pozzolanic addition without the risk of cross-contamination and without wasting time on sequential weighing in a single vessel.

  • Three-point load cell precision (C3): Just like the cement scale, the fly ash vessel rests on 3 reliable shear beam load cells with a capacity of 500 kg each. Operating in a high C3 accuracy class and automatic signal averaging guarantee strict fly ash weighing with an accuracy down to 0.5 kg (500 g). Upon client request, we deliver sensors with an OIML certificate.
  • Multi-connections on flexible shrouds: The scale top cover allows for the connection of dedicated screw conveyors transporting fly ash from the silo. Each inlet is protected by a wear-resistant polyurethane shroud that completely dampens mechanical vibrations from the operating screws, protecting the scale reading from distortion.
  • Lightning-fast pneumatic discharge: Scale emptying is executed via a tightly sealed butterfly valve with a linear pneumatic cylinder controlled by a reliable solenoid valve. Because fly ash has an extremely fine structure and a tendency to stick to walls, the scale is equipped with a factory electric vibrator assisting each discharge cycle.
  • Hermetic eco-venting: The system features an integrated, flexible hose that vents excess air directly into the mixer chamber. This solution equalizes pressure spikes during dynamic fly ash entry and prevents dust from escaping onto the production floor.
  • Wear-resistant bottom sleeve: As an additional option, we offer a specialized, flexible connecting sleeve made of thick polyurethane. It permanently seals the fly ash discharge zone between the scale butterfly valve and the mixer body, exhibiting powerful abrasion resistance.

Water scales

The SolidTec water scale is an advanced batching system installed directly above the mixer. It is designed to minimize the delivery time of the batch water while maintaining rigorous control over the water-to-cement (w/c) ratio, which is crucial for concrete strength.

The introduction of a delivery pipe with an internal distribution mesh is a powerful quality leap in the batching process – uniform water feeding across the entire mixer surface shortens the blade runtime and reduces the main motor current load. In turn, clearly defining the requirements for the flow scale (1000 L/min) positions SolidTec as a highly expert brand that protects the client from design errors during the facility utility setup stage.

  • Three-point load cell measurement (3x 150 kg): The scale tank is suspended on 3 precise shear beam load cells with a capacity of 150 kg each. Operating in a high C3 accuracy class and automatic signal averaging from three support points ideally balances liquid sloshing and guarantees a stable, error-free mass reading. Upon order, we mount sensors with an OIML certificate.
  • Absolute tight sealing (Gate with seal): A professional butterfly valve armed with a specialized, flexible technical seal is responsible for the water discharge. This ensures 100% airtight system integrity and categorically eliminates the risk of uncontrolled dripping or water leaking into the mixer after the batching cycle is closed.
  • Spraying manifold with internal mesh filter: Water delivery to the interior of the mixer is implemented using a rigid pipe terminating in a special distribution mesh filter. This prevents a sudden, concentrated water dump in one spot – the liquid is uniformly sprayed across the entire volume of the dry batch, which drastically shortens mixing time, prevents cement clumping, and improves concrete homogeneity.
  • Alternative flow-metering system: At the investor's request, we offer a modern alternative in the form of a flow-metering water scale (based on a precise mass flow meter). It allows omitting the classic tank suspended above the mixer; however, a necessary condition for its correct operation is providing a stable hydraulic supply with a powerful flow stream on the order of 1000 liters per minute.

The weigh admixture dispenser (chemical scale) SolidTec is a highly precise, fully automated pharmaceutical-grade system designed to measure liquid components modifying concrete properties. Due to the aggressive nature of construction chemicals, the entire device is made of materials completely resistant to corrosion and enclosed in a secure housing.

Proper dosing of chemical admixtures determines the frost resistance, plasticity, and final setting of the concrete mix. To ensure ideal system operating conditions during winter, the SolidTec dispenser design allows for trouble-free installation inside a heated building. This protects sensitive sensors and the liquid components themselves from extreme sub-zero temperatures, guaranteeing consistent production quality year-round.

  • Armored and leak-proof design: The dispenser is placed in a dedicated box highly resistant to mechanical impacts and moisture. The measuring cylinder itself is precisely milled, hot-bonded, and factory-sealed. The entire construction is tightly clamped with M8 stainless steel tie rods, guaranteeing 100% tightness and resistance to chemical damage.
  • Pharmaceutical weighing precision (10 L net): As standard, we offer a single-cylinder system with a net capacity of 10 liters. The tank is suspended on one sensitive shear beam load cell with a capacity of 15 kg (C3 accuracy class), allowing plasticizers to be measured with excellent accuracy down to 50 g.
  • Efficient pump system (25 L/min): Admixtures are fed into the scale via powerful pressure booster pumps. As standard equipment, we deliver up to two pumps pumping chemicals at a speed of 25 liters per minute, which guarantees rapid filling of the measuring chamber and shortens the entire cycle time.
  • Multi-component capability and expansion options: A single cylinder features two factory inlets for admixtures, meaning one machine handles two separate types of chemicals without issue. As a paid optional extra, we offer a dual-cylinder layout for feeding additional components, as well as the possibility to install an independent, small cylinder dedicated to precise concrete pigmentation.
  • Automatic rinsing and pneumatic discharge: The discharge of the measured dose into the mixer is executed via a professional electro-pneumatically controlled discharge valve. Immediately after emptying, an integrated chamber rinsing system with a dedicated water solenoid valve thoroughly flushes the interior of the cylinder. This prevents crystallization of admixtures and cross-contamination when changing recipes.

The use of a RACK cabinet with an IP65 standard drastically extends component life. This design not only protects against aggressive surroundings but also facilitates servicing – modular installation in a RACK cabinet allows for lightning-fast access to every valve or electrical connection, which is a premium standard in heavy industry.

  • Hermetic RACK cabinet (IP65 Class): The entire measurement apparatus, valves, and sensitive control electronics are enclosed in a professional, hermetic industrial RACK cabinet with a strict IP65 ingress protection rating.
